Maono Africa – Podcast & Vodcast Production on Social Justice

Spartan Photography Kenya collaborated with Maono Africa Center for Transformation in the production of weekly podcasts and vodcasts for the Maono Africa YouTube Channel. The goal of the series was to create a platform where important social issues could be discussed openly, documented, and shared with wider audiences.

One of the sessions featured Sophie Hicks, Program Manager at The Freedom Fund, who joined the conversation to discuss the urgent need to address child domestic work exploitation and abuse.

The podcast focused on raising awareness about the realities faced by many children who are subjected to exploitation in domestic work environments. Through open discussion and shared insights, the session aimed to encourage greater understanding, advocacy, and collective responsibility in addressing this issue.

Through this collaboration, Spartan Photography Kenya contributed to:

  • Podcast and vodcast production
  • Visual storytelling and documentation
  • Content creation for digital platforms
  • Amplifying conversations around social justice

Beyond production, the work reflected a broader commitment to ensuring that important conversations reach audiences who can learn, reflect, and take action.

As a content creator, working in such environments reinforces an important lesson: every story matters, every individual voice carries value, and awareness is often the first step toward change.
